ABOUT US
Our History
The Beta Omicron chapter of Alpha Chi Omega was founded on November 13, 1936. The first Alpha Chi chapter was established at Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana On October 15, 1885 by Anna Allen, Olive Burnett, Bertha Deniston, Amy Dubois, Nellie Gamble, Bessie Grooms, and Estelle Leonard. While it was originally established as a music and arts fraternity, it later transformed into a social women's sorority. Music and arts are still highly valued in the organization to this day and members are encouraged to support the arts. Alpha Chi Omega helps members to grow through friendship, leadership, learning and service opportunities.
